Meaning of Kairo: "The right moment. The opportune time. A decisive, meaningful point in time."
It’s the 3-2 pitch with runners on.
It’s the moment a kid lays out for a grounder.
It’s the instant when practice pays off.
It’s not just baseball—it’s life.
Kairo players are taught to:
Be prepared!
Stay present!
Act with purpose!
Own the moment!
WHO WE ARE
I grew up in Dallas, Texas, where sports were a big part of my life. Growing up, I played baseball, soccer, and basketball, and those early experiences shaped my love for competition, teamwork, and growth through adversity.
I started coaching in 2018, when my oldest began playing baseball, and I’ve been passionate about developing young athletes ever since. I’m married to Diana Soto, and together we’re raising two amazing boys, ages 11 and 7, who both love the game and keep me on the field year-round. Today, I’m a Realtor and the owner of Let’s Grow Networks, a B2B networking group committed to giving back. We partner with other local businesses to support families and strengthen the communities we serve.
Kairo Baseball is more than a team—it’s a mindset. My mission is to help kids own the moment, both on and off the field, by coaching them hard, encouraging them consistently, and leading with heart.
I grew up in SE Georgia playing competitive baseball through my High School years. Upon graduation, I went to work at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base for a few years before I moved on to attend college at Georgia Southern University, where I fell into playing recreational club ball. After that, I found my way to Texas, where I met my wife, Jacki. We have two children, daughter KP (15) and son Braxton (5) and call Wylie, TX home. For the last 8 years, I’ve coached select level fastpitch softball with Excel Elite, Impact Gold and American Freedom, as KP has ascended the sport. She is currently the starting Varsity 3B and Pitcher at Wylie East High School, and as of Fall 2024, she was selected to play for the 16U National Team with AF, leaving me to become a Softball Dad again. Coaching has been a true passion for me, and I’m very excited to get to bring that passion and my experience back to the game of baseball. GO KAIRO!
Growing up I played many different sports but baseball became my love. I grew up in a baseball family with 2 older brothers who played baseball. I played baseball for and graduated from Marshall High School in Marshall TX.
I was a 3 year varsity letterman and unanimous 1st team all district shortstop. I received a scholarship to play at a Panola Jr College in Carthage, TX, (D1 Juco) where I received All-conference honors at 2nd base. After graduating from Panola with my Associates degree I received a scholarship to further my baseball career at Harding University in Searcy, AR. At Harding I achieved All-Conference honors at 2nd base. Following my Junior year, I returned home to support my family and was able to finish my playing career at East Texas Baptist University, in Marshall, TX. While there I received All-Conference and All-American honors as a shortstop.
Shortly after playing I started coaching and doing private lessons. I eventually owned an indoor baseball facility and was able to run multiple camps, clinics, coaching seminars, and many select teams. I was invited to participate in a Frozen Ropes National baseball camp in Cape Cod, MA, alongside numerous professional players and coaches. With over 15 years of coaching experience in the select baseball world, I have coached players of various ages, from 4 years old up to high school, college and professional players.
